Junior Competitions
There are two types of competition that Guernsey juniors can participate in:
- Local competitions e.g. Ogier Island Championships, and
- Competitions sanctioned by England Squash which attract ranking points for junior members of England Squash.
How to find out about local competitions
Local competitions, usually open to GSRA members only, will be advertised locally to members and on the GSRA notice boards.
How to find an England Squash sanctioned competition
England Squash sanction over 100 competitions per season offering a range of competition suitable for all ability levels.
Competition levels are assigned from Copper through to Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
Most sanctioned competitions are in England, however Guernsey usually hosts at least one per season.

How to enter an England Squash sanctioned competition
Players will also need to have purchased England Squash junior membership covering the date of the competition (not required for Copper events).

All competitions which have been sanctioned by England Squash can be viewed and entered through Sport Manager, by creating a free account and paying the competition entry fee.
England Squash Junior Rankings and Seedings
By entering sanctioned competitions, England Squash members can earn ranking points based on their finishing position and the competition level (copper, bronze, etc.). These points are used to determine a player's England Squash national ranking which is in turn used to determine seedings in sanctioned competitions.
